FUNDING APPROVED

FANTASTIC NEWS!

Hello everyone,

It is with great pleasure I get to tell you the most exciting news. Our friend, Councillor Kim Marx, made us an election promise to secure funding from the Lord Mayor Graham Quirk. We have just received written confirmation of this funding. The executive committee is currently working on a grants application to receive further funding from the state government to begin a lighting project on Diamond One. The most generous contribution made from Councillor Marx and Graham Quirk is a key element to us being able to secure further funding to achieve our baseball lighting dream. I would like to extend my personal thanks to Councillor Marx for supporting our club from the outset of her new appointment to the Runcorn Ward. This would not have happened without her.

Yours truly
Kym Cunningham
President

Condolence to a special lady

It is with great sadness the Indians Baseball Club have been advised of the passing of Beryl Pressick, one of the much loved former stalwarts of our Club.

Beryl was the smiling happy face in our canteen every weekend for many years and loved nothing more than watching and supporting our Junior and Senior teams, she lovedour club so much that she caught  the train to Runcorn every weekend to be with her friends and help with the development of Indians.

Beryl was Mother to John one of our most respected workers and Life Member, Alan, one of our top Umpires also Grandmother to Ben Toni and Lachie who represented our club with great pride for many years.

We wish to pass on our condolences to all members of the Pressick family, she will be sadly missed.

Rest in Peace Beryl.
